Mid Murray Support Service has many updates, exciting events, and opportunities to share with you this month. We hope you find these updates beneficial and join us in making our community even more vibrant and supportive.

Fleet Update!!

We are thrilled to announce that new vehicles will soon join our fleet. These additions will enhance our capacity to serve the community efficiently and ensure our services are always reliable and accessible.

Minimising Carpark Chaos

We are planning to downsize the garden area to reduce carpark congestion. This change will provide more parking space and ease the flow of traffic, making it safer and more convenient for everyone visiting our premises.

Welcome Our New Team Members

We are pleased to introduce our new Garden Maintenance/Home Maintenance worker, Rob. With this addition to our team, we can assist even more residents with their home and garden maintenance needs. Welcome aboard, Rob!

We are also delighted to welcome Sharron, our dedicated Group Social Support Worker. Sharron brings nearly 20 years of experience in the industry to our team, primarily in Group Social Support. Be sure to say hello next time you're at The HUB and get to know the newest member of our supportive community.

We Need You!

  • Support Worker: We seek dedicated support workers to join our team. If you have a passion for helping others and making a difference, we’d love to hear from you.

  • Cleaner: We need diligent and reliable cleaners. Please consider applying if you take pride in creating clean and welcoming environments whilst giving back to your community.

  • Volunteers: Volunteers are the heart of our service. We always seek enthusiastic individuals to help with various tasks and activities. Your contribution can make a significant impact on our community.

For more details on these positions and how to apply, please visit our careers page on our website.

This month, our tip is all about keeping warm efficiently. Did you know that layering your clothing can help trap heat more effectively? To stay cozy during the colder months, start with a moisture-wicking base layer, add an insulating middle layer, and top it off with a windproof outer layer.

Scrooges’ Bargains

Don’t miss out on the fantastic bargains at Scrooges. From household items to unique treasures, there’s something for everyone at unbeatable prices.

Garden Waste Collection

We currently need help with garden maintenance waste due to limited dumping times. If there is anyone local who can help take lawn clippings and shrub trimmings, please get in touch with us. Your assistance would be greatly appreciated and help us maintain our beautiful community spaces.

Thank you for your continued support and involvement in our community activities. We look forward to seeing you at our events and hearing from those interested in joining our team or volunteering. Together, we can make a difference in the Mid-Murray region!

Now, to sign off with a joke. What did one ocean say to the other ocean?

Nothing, it just waved.
