Mid Murray Support Service Update – March 2025

As we welcome March, we’d like to take a moment to thank our wonderful community for their generosity and support. Your kindness continues to make a difference in the lives of those in need.

A Heartfelt Thank You for Emergency Relief Pantry Donations

We are incredibly grateful for the recent food donations we have received. Special thanks go to:

  • St. John Lutheran Church – Bow Hill

  • St. John Lutheran Church – Cambrai

We understand that these donations came from the recent Harvest Festival, and we truly appreciate the effort that goes into gathering and delivering these much-needed supplies.

Additionally, we extend our gratitude to Forster Lutheran Church for their kind donation of items to our Emergency Relief Pantry. Your support helps us provide essential assistance to those facing hardship in our community.

Changes Coming to Home Care Packages

You may have heard that Home Care Packages will be transitioning to the Support at Home program from 1 July 2025. This change is aimed at improving the way home care is delivered, with a focus on simpler access, more tailored support, and better outcomes for older Australians.

We understand that many of you will have questions about what this means for your care and services. While further details will be released closer to the transition, we encourage you to reach out if you have any concerns or need guidance during this period of change.

Tip of the Month

Did you know? The 3G network is being switched off in Australia throughout 2024-2025! If you rely on an older mobile phone, medical device, or alarm system that still uses 3G, now is the time to check if it needs upgrading to ensure you stay connected.
