In a bid to continue our mission of "Making Lives Better," Mid Murray Support Service (MMSS) is thrilled to announce that we've been awarded a $10,000 Community Grant through the 2023 CommBank Staff Foundation Community Grant program. This grant will enhance our facilities and further connect our community. We focus on creating an environment that facilitates open conversations, meaningful support, and confidentiality. The grant will fund the creation of a dedicated and private meeting space within The HUB, our historical rural stone school building, ensuring a safe and comfortable meeting environment for clients and staff alike.
This project embodies our commitment to creating a brighter future for our community by investing in a space that fosters connection and support. We envisage the Meeting POD as a sanctuary for our clients, providing a safe and confidential setting for their needs. It's an essential step toward fostering a stronger and more connected community.
In the heart of our community, The HUB continues to be a vibrant source of creativity and engagement for residents of all ages. We're thrilled to announce that our craft activities are expanding, with the exciting addition of "Play with Clay" sessions, which are confirmed as a permanent addition to our 2024 calendar. At The HUB, we believe in fostering a love for art and self-expression; these new clay sessions are a testament to that commitment. These gatherings allow community members to get their hands dirty and explore the joys of sculpting and moulding while forming new connections and memories. Join us at The HUB for our last session, 2023, to be held on December 20.
If you have been notified that you now have a Home Care Package on offer to you through My Aged Care, Mid Murray Support Service can assist. We currently can provide support for these types of packages. Either pop into The HUB at 58 Walker Ave, Mannum, OR call 5896 1832 and ask to speak to one of our friendly staff with your enquiry.
We are pleased to announce the Annual General Meeting (AGM) scheduled for November 23 2023 at 10:00 AM. In adherence to our constitution, notices for the AGM will be posted 14 days before the meeting. Remember that only MMSS financial members who have paid their annual $10.00 fee will receive official invitations. We look forward to a productive AGM, and kindly note that while others may attend, they will not possess voting rights. Following the meeting, a light lunch will be
provided featuring finger food. We appreciate your continued support and participation in our community.

As the holiday season approaches, we want to inform our valued community members that our centre will temporarily close its doors starting December 22 at 12:30 PM. The closure will last through the festive season until we reopen on January 2 at 9:00 AM. Our centre will be closed during the holiday period, but fear not! We are committed to ensuring that essential support is readily available. As such, we will provide limited and emergency services to assist our community when required. Your well-being remains our top priority. Our devoted team is here to serve you, even amidst the festive celebrations. If you need urgent assistance, please don't hesitate to reach out to us.
